Yes — and we prefer to. The studio's whole premise is that architecture, interiors and landscape produce a better result when they are designed together rather than handed between separate consultants. We are equally happy to join a project where the architecture is already resolved.

We offer flexible services tailored to each project. Some clients engage us from the initial site analysis through to styling; others need support at a single stage — a concept, a materials palette, a joinery package, or coordination during construction.

Predominantly residential — new homes, renovations and apartments — alongside boutique commercial, hospitality and community-focused work. Scale matters less to us than whether the brief rewards a considered approach.

Design and documentation typically runs twenty weeks for a residential project, followed by the construction period. Our process page sets out each stage and its indicative duration. Smaller, single-stage engagements move considerably faster.

Fees are quoted per project once the brief and scope are clear, either as a fixed fee by stage or hourly for smaller advisory work. We set this out in writing before any design work begins, so there are no surprises.

An honest brief and a conversation. Bring the references you have collected, the frustrations with your current space, and your budget range. Plans of the existing building are useful if you have them, but we can measure and document the site ourselves.

Yes. We regularly work on regional Victorian projects and travel for site visits at key stages, with the remainder of the collaboration handled remotely.

Practically rather than performatively: retaining existing fabric where it is sound, orienting spaces so they need less heating and cooling, specifying materials that age well and can be repaired, and integrating planting that suits the site's climate.
